Slimming World's new SP plan January 2015

Those who have weighed in this week will have been introduced to this new, streamlined extra easy plan called the Slimming World SP plan. It's not a replacement for extra easy, but it does seem to be a replacement for "success express". When you get to the fundamentals of this new plan, you'll see that it's not a kick in the arse off the extra easy plan, but there are some key differences.

Essentially, superfree and superspeed foods have been merged (with some eliminations such as grapes, bananas, blueberries) and protein rich/free foods have been merged with high-carb options off the menu (no rice or potatoes allowed).

Instead of aiming for 1/3 superfree on our plate, your plate will consist of 50% speed foods (S) and 50% free or protein foods (P) on your plate. Additionally, you still have your healthy A allowance and can have 2 x healthy B options as well as the usual 5-15 syns.

According to the slimming world website,

Extra Easy SP was made for those times when you want to turbo-charge your results on the scales – following a holiday, to get back on track or even to wave goodbye to the last lbs to reach your dream weight.

Came at a good time then! I know I could do with a boost after the festive season.

If you haven't got your new pack yet, not to panic. So long as you attend group before the 17th of January there will be one waiting for you. I've also tried to help by localising a few of the images circulating about this plan, and hopefully they will clear up some ambiguity (click any image to expand)

Picture the scene. You arrive home from work after a busy day. You check the fridge and there is not a Mallons sausage to be found. You panic momentarily and then DING! -- you remember that you have a stack of syn free meals in the freezer, ready to go. This will soon be a reality!

Last year, Slimming World surveyed its members for recipe ideas. Now, we have heard the announcement that Iceland will be offering slimming world ready meals early 2015.

These meals will be all be free!

You heard me, all meals are going to be syn free. Also, the portions are rumoured to be 500g which is fabulous compared to the teeny tiny weight watchers ready meals!

Those in the UK should have no trouble at all finding a nearby Iceland store. Us Irish are a little more limited, here's the current list of Iceland stores in Ireland:

They also do home delivery for anyone who lives too far away!

Can't wait! What type of meals do you think they'll have in there? Will you be investing in these? Comment below!
