New Healthy Extra B Discoveries

Healthy Extras are a fantastic feature of the slimming world plan and in my opinion, are the key to Slimming World’s success. They ensure we have enough fibre and calcium in our diets, and also happen to unlock options that most slimming plans tend to steer clear of - Carbs and Dairy.

It can be easy enough to get into a routine with your healthy extras, with many of us sticking to the usual cereal bars or sandwich. In this post, I list a couple of new discoveries that can be enjoyed for your healthy extra B options, which will hopefully give you some inspiration for shaking things up.

Lizi’s Granola

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but Lizi’s Granolas have a lot of potential for an any-time-of-the-day snack - particularly the Belgian chocolate one! For your healthy B choice, you can have 30g of any of the above flavours - Belgian Chocolate, Macadamia and Mango, or Treacle and Pecan.

Alpen Protein Cereal Bars

Alpen have recently released the Alpen protein cereal bar in two flavours: Chocolate and Berries & Yoghurt, which have about twice the protein of your average cereal bar, keeping you full all morning. You can have one Alpen Protein bar as your healthy B choice.

You can now buy slimming world hi-fi bars online

Why is it that nothing comes close to hi-fi bars when it comes to Low Syn Treats. The bars are 3 syns each and they can also be used as your healthy extra B choice.

As an online slimming world member, its been a bother to me to not have easy access to these, since they had only been sold in slimming world classes.

Gladly, that problem is now solved :) Slimming World have answered my prayers and are now allowing members to buy boxes of their hifi bars online through the website. Each member can buy either 5 or 10 boxes per calendar month, and they will deliver them to your house for a fee. I recently went onto slimming world online and bought some of the chocolate orange and double chocolate flavours. They have already saved me from many bad choices at 3PM in work, or late at night.

You can find these within the "shop" section on the official slimming world website.

Alternatively, if you are not an online member there are some deals on hifi bars on Amazon:
